In order to increase recreational offerings to Brookfield residents, the Brookfield Recreation Department has entered into a cooperative programming agreement with the Villages of Lyons, Riverside, North Riverside, Community Park District of LaGrange Park, and other surrounding communities.
This co-op will allow residents of each community to participate in more programs at resident rates. Not all programs from the above communities are co-oped, only those listed. Co-oped programs can be identified by (CO-OP) after the program title. Make sure to check the location in the program description.
For detailed information on a program and once the program has started, please contact the host agency. Refund and cancellation policies are determined by the host agency. Contact information for co-op agencies is as follows:

Employee Alert
The Brookfield Recreation Department is always looking for energetic, talented, and responsible persons to work part-time as program instructors. Should you have a special skill or talent that could be taught as a program through the Department, stop by our Recreation Office and fill out an application.
NOTE: The Brookfield Recreation Department will be accepting applications for summer camp counselors beginning January 15, 2007. Stop by the Recreation Office and pick up an application. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
Recreation Commission Meetings
The Recreation Board meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. These meetings, held in the Municipal Building, allow the appointed Playground & Recreation Board to provide input to the Recreation Department concerning the public's needs and desires. The public is welcome to attend.
